One of my favourite books of all time is Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson.
I read it a number of years ago, but it has always been an all time favourite. I liked it because the story is about a friendship between a boy and a girl. I can totally relate to this, because on my street, I only played with boys, because there were no other girls living there. At times it was hard and I felt lonely, but at other times, I think I had way more fun!
In the story, Jess and Leslie become great friends and go on a number of exciting adventures in an imaginary land called Terabithia. It’s a magical kingdom where they are the king and queen who defeat monsters and giants.
It’s a great story with some real life problems that we all have to face at different times in our lives!
I really recommend this book, and I give it a level 4!!

Hey everyone!!!
I know and strongly recommend a fascinating book that I truly think you will enjoy. This book is “Born to Play, Hayley Wickenhiser” by Elizabeth Etue. In this non-fiction book, it has true facts, a glossary and short chapters. But, mainly the book talks about Hayley Wickenheiser who is an excellent hockey player. One of my favourite parts of this extraordinary book is the part where it had Hayleys quotes. I like this because it was sort of like Hayley made the readers stronger and feel good. Some of the things you might enjoy about this book is the pictures with capations. This book is awesome so pick it up at the nearest libary to you!!!!
Happy Reading! Bye!!!

The book I have read recently is the Crazy Man.Others should read thid book is because it is very interesting and it uses a lot of ajectives. For example they described the weather and sait what the temprature was. The author was Pamela Porter. The book teaches you a very good lesson which is you should never judge a person by the way they look!

Thumb On A Diamond
Hi, I read a book called Thumb On A Diamond. My favourite part about this
book was when Thumb and his friend meet Mr.Enthwhislte . I part I did not like was when they only won third place in one of their games. I think the book was a very good book. I think a person that plays baseball would enjoy this . Mary would enjoy this book too. She is a volunteer here in the library.

Dear’ readers,
Hi! My name is Luxshi. I am going to talk to you about all the things about Paper bag princess. The characters in this book are the princess, the prince and the dragon and the setting takes place at the castle. My favourite part is when the princess made the dragon so tired by telling the dragon so much good things about the dragon so, it could show of and get tired by doing it so much times.

hi everyone!
You should really check out a book called “There’s a boy in the girl bathroom”. I know the title sounds a bit funny but it is a really cool book and it does have a moral to it.It is personally one of my favourties and I encourage everyone out there to read it.Basically it is about a boy name Bradley and how he is always gettin in trouble in school. Then a counselour comes and changes him completely and how he makes new friends and he actually starts enjoying school. We see alot of changes in Bradley as you move further along in the book, he starts doing is homework and he starts exeeding his thinking. It is a really good book, (sorry i had a mention it again) and I am sure you’ll have a lot of fun reading it! Thank you for readin my entry! :[)

Hi girls, isn’t this fun . This the first time I have ever completed a BLOG!!
I have just finished a book called Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. It is about the lives of two girls lives growing up in remote villages in China , during the nineteenth century.
The girls have been paired together to become lifelong friends called Laotong. Even though they live in different villages they are able to communicate to each othe using a secret font and language that was developed by the women of that era.
Lily and Snow Flower share their lives and experiences by writing to each other on a fan that they send back and forth.

Hi everyone!
I read a book called Grandfather’s Journey, written by Allen Say. This is a picture book with amazing illustrations…so amazing that it won the Caldecott Medal! The story is about the life of a boy who’s roots are in Japan, but his family moved to the United States. He loves both countries and whenever he’s in one country he really misses the other. I think you’ll like this book!

I read the book Sammy Keyes and the hollywood mummy by Wendelin Van Draanen. It’s great for people who like mystery and “ancient egypt.” The main characters are Sammy Keyes, Lady Lana(fake name-Dominique),Marissa, Max, Claire, LeBrandi, Hali, Reena, and some more people. Well, I don’t want to give away the story, so I won’t tell who killed LeBrandi. But she does die. Sammy suspects many people who live in that same hotel. And she risked her very life trying to save her mother, what a daughter!
Oh yeah, you should also read 101 ways to bug you teacher by Lee wardlaw, it’s more of a funny book than scary. The title confused me in the beggining, I thought it was a book full of ways to bug your teachers but it’s actually a story of a boy named Sneeze (Well that’s not his real name but everyone calls him that).
Dragon Keeper by Carole Wilkinson is a great book as well. It’s more of an adventurous book. Join Ping and Danzi on a LONG adventure. I just love thick books. It’s like going through the LONG journey with them, by turning page after page.
Hope you read the three books I told you, and there’s way more good books to read too!

WOW, what great book suggestions so far! Amazingly enough some of my favourites have been mentioned. Going back to Ms. Papulkas’ selection Bridge to Teribithia, a friend recommended this book to me in grade 9, gave me a copy and I never bothered to read it until 4 years ago. It is truly a great read. I was able to visualize the characters and story in my head (which is what good books do, take you to far off places). I once watched the movie My Girl and found some interesting connections between the two; I guess that could be part of the books connected to movies club:-) I have many favourite books for many reasons; but I really love the book Underground to Canada by Barbara Smucker. It tells the story of two young slaves Julilly (who is separated from her mother in a slave trade) and Liz who are given the opportunity to escape to Canada by a mysterious visitor from the Underground Railroad. The threat of being recaptured by slave hunters and their bloodhounds is ever-present, but Julilly finds strength and courage, from people along the way. If you like historical fiction and are interested in the Underground Railroad this is the book to read.
